Grass Fed Beef Bolognese

Yields: 5 Servings


2 tablespoons avocado oil

1 onion, finely chopped

1 carrot, finely chopped

1 celery rib, finely chopped

16 ounces. grass fed ground beef

¼ cup tomato paste

2 cups crushed tomatoes

½ cup beef broth

Sea salt to taste


In a large pan, sautéed onion, carrot, and celery in avocado oil until soft over medium heat. Add beef, season with salt, and continue to cook stirring occasionally until meat starts to brown. Add in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes. And beef broth. Reduce heat and cover pan with lid and let cook for an additional 30 minutes.

Serve over spaghetti squash or cauliflower rice.
